FI submits reports for 15th session of the UPR
FI has submitted three reports in collaboration with a range of partner organisations for the 15th session of the UPR in January 2013. The reports address our key human rights concerns in France, Burundi and Romania. The issues examined are many and diverse. In Burundi, the challenges faced in transitional justice are a major source of concern for Franciscans and our partners. In France, FI is once more addressing the situation of elderly people in care homes, an issue we have been working on since the last UPR of France. Extreme poverty in Romania has a critical impact on many other human rights and this is reflected in our report which addresses issues related to health, education, human trafficking, and the rights of persons with HIV/AIDS and persons with disabilities.
