Mid-term Implementation Assessment on Cameroon

The NGO, UPR-Info released the Mid-term Implementation Assessment (MIA) on Cameroon in January 2012. The MIA is based on information received from States, NGOs and National Institutions for Human Rights (NHRI) on the implementation (or lack thereof) of recommendations adopted at the Human Rights Council (HRC).
Working with FI, Franciscans working in-coutry submitted information concerning specific issues including: street children; child labour, detention conditions for children, right to primary and secondary education for all children regardless of gender and background; better health care for children and Indigenous Peoples; initiatives to fight HIV/AIDS; rights for disabled people.
