  1. Let the prayer prepared by Franciscans International to mark World AIDS Day guide you in remembering those / praying for those:
    • Living with HIV/AIDS;
    • Orphaned;
    • Who continue to deny its existence;
    • Working with the sick;
    • Governments, donors, international institutions and civil society organisations fighting the pandemic.
  2. In parishes and communities: Dedicate mass before, after, and on 1 December to the fight against HIV/AIDS;
  3. Foster a welcoming atmosphere of respect for those living with, and/or affected by HIV/AIDS, where they can find one another, and pray for those who are the most ill;
  4. Educate youth in respect for sexuality, and the dignity of friendship, on the scientific and social facts of HIV/AIDS transmission, and the Christian compassion for our brothers and sisters touched by HIV/AIDS;
  5. Wear a red ribbon to show your personal involvement in the fight.
