Europe & Human Rights

The respect of the dignity and security of people moving from Eastern and Central Europe towards Western Europe are at the core of our advocacy and formation initiatives. We advocate for the recognition of the rights of migrant workers and victims of human trafficking who, on many occasions, are just perceived as "illegal" in the countries of transit or destination and, thus, deported to their country of origin. Together with national groups of Franciscans, we particularly call upon Western European countries to ratify international standards on this matter.
