Optional Protocol to ICESCR

The ICESCR is a legally binding treaty that protects a range of economic, social, and cultural rights without discrimination based on creed, political affiliation, gender, or race.  It was adopted by the UN General Assembly in 1966 and entered into force ten years later.

Franciscans International is a member of the NGO Coalition for an Optional Protocol to the ICESCR, united around five basic principles.
